Took this photo in January. It's an HDR of the Delta Bessborough here in Saskatoon. I just wanted to try out the new software I got for converting images to black and white-- Nik Software's SilverEfex Pro 2. It's a phenomenal software which I hope to learn more of in the future so I can convert my images to black and white better.

This HDR's taken with my Fuji X10 and post-processed using ACR and SilverEfex Pro 2.

Back in 2008, I had the opportunity to study abroad and I ended up going to Australia for 5 months. I was an international student at the University of Newcastle in New South Wales and I had the chance to travel around Melbourne and Brisbane as well while I was there. It was also the same year that I started getting into photography, I thank Australia for being such a photogenic country and making my photos look presentable!

My time in Australia 4 years ago was indeed one of the best experiences of my life! I got to meet new friends and get in touch with my family from Sydney and Brisbane too. I will never forget the Koalas, Wallabies, the ever-so-popular Woolies, Fish and Chips with tartare sauce, Tooheys New + Victoria Bitter + GOON and Kangaroo Steaks/Burgers from Sydney= all of these made my experience in Australia heaps of fun! (not sure if I used heaps right there, haha). Let's not forget Vegemite, that was another experience in itself!

In remembrance of that amazing year and the Land Down Under, I went through my archive of photos and came up with a collage to commemorate Australia Day this year. The Land Down Under will always have a special place in my heart and I look forward to visiting again someday to see and experience more of it!
