I got a comment from the globe travelin' bike tourist! My ride is a Rans Vrex from 2000, I think. I added the standard Rans rear rack (a normal rack would interfere with the seat supports), and the Rans Easy Reacher midship rack, by Terra Cycle. It works great!

The midship rack moves weight toward the center and lower down, which is a plus. As a result, it handles really well loaded, even at higher speeds and while cornering.

Enjoy the rest of your trip!

Cheers Mark. I think the good handling of recumbents even when loaded is one of the biggest plus points for touring. I have also been really impressed with the handling of my Street Machine GTe when it is fully loaded.

Happy riding.
