Ready or not, here I come!

This is a Wolf Spider (family Lycosidae), of species Lycosa praegrandis, which is the only big species of this family on the island of Crete (many thanks to Dr. Maria Chatzaki for the ID). It's a female with a body size of about an inch, that has decided to make her lair in my garden!

I have written down all about my encounters with this spider in my blog.
