Update: This is a photo from February. I've brought it back (Sat 6 June '08) for the second annual International Free Hugs Day. Free Huggers will be out all over the world. Hugh sent a text saying he was doing it again in Bath. If you see someone in your area be sure to receive your hug gratis.

This is 'Hugh Mann'.
I approached him and asked for his email address so I could send him a photo of himself in action. Neither of us had a pen so I went into a nearby shop. When I came back he was being group hugged by six teenagers.
We got chatting. He's been free hugging since summer of last year, and today was his eighth time.
Some quotes from Hugh's myspace page:

Towards the end of the conversation he asked my name and offered a handshake. I said we better have a hug instead. So we did.
