I googled my name and these photos came up.
This is my late grandmother's house and the
house my father (Dr. Juanito Aya-ay) grew up
in. He still does missionary medicine every
year there in the back of this house in the
"newer" section he built. Whoever
you are, you are a great photographer. I
have lots of pictures of this place of my
own, but none capture it like you did.
Thanks.

Hi James - glad you like the photos! It was
a great experience to stay in the house,
totally different to anywhere else I stayed
in the Philippines.

Enjoyed your pictures. I think my entire
family viewed them. My Dad and I were just
at our ancestral home in February. I'll have
to send you a pic of him with his head
hanging out of the window with his head above
the sign-- if you want.
Glad you enjoyed the PIs. Sounds like you
were there for work and pleasure.
Hi Jerome - thanks again! It's so amazing
that you found the photos, and I'm really
pleased that you like them. I'd love to see
the photo of your Dad if you can send a copy.
I've sent you a flickr mail with my e-mail
address.
I was in the Visayas for six months in
total, doing some research on marine
reserves, based at Silliman University. So I
was there for work... but it was certainly
pleasurable!

Hi Marinegirl:
Sorry my brother Jerome hasn't gotten back
to you. He probably hasn't seen the posting
yet because he's not used to accessing this
website. We only found this site because of
my google search. Do you have a facebook
account? If you do you can find my profile
(James Aya-ay) and befriend me where I have
some pictures of not only Dad, but the whole
Aya-ay family here in the U.S. We have a
family reunion every year which I have
pictures of. Mind you they won't be as high
quality pictures as yours, but they still
tell a cool story. In our Philippines 2003
trip you can see the back of the house you
stayed in. Maybe you'll recognize it. My
wife Melanie (another Dr. Aya-ay) helped out
my Dad that year seeing some patients.
Take care and thanks again.
