Taken from our deck about ten minutes ago, as a thunderstorm was petering out.

This is as good a time as any to announce the obvious, I think: the start of a new month and almost the end of the old year.

As some of you have probably noticed, I haven't uploaded any photos in a long, long time.

The former reason for this was because I was simply too busy taking care of the puppy to take any photos, or any that I felt like sharing anyway.

In mid September, the puppy died.

My reason for a lack of photos after that is obvious, as is my abandonment of this account entirely. Too many memories.

So, it's been fun. I've met a lot of wonderful, talented people through this medium and wish you all the best. I may return to Flickr, and photography, in the future, but this is, on this account, goodbye.

It seems that I've become addicted to baking cupcakes, as well as to taking photos of them and of cupcake decorations.

I can think of worse things to be addicted to: drugs, alcohol, being an asshole, etc.
