While we were at Yellowstone, I was able to take the opportunity to get up at sunrise and go to Mammoth Hot Springs. It was tough to get out of my sleeping bag when it was 30 degrees outside.

Sunrise in Yellowstone is awesome. Just an FYI.

I know this is a common shot from Yellowstone, but there's a reason. This spring is approximately 300 feet across, so you can't get a good view of it from the boardwalk. You have to scramble up a hill a little ways to really see its beauty.

The Yellowstone trip was incredible. We saw every animal that we wanted to see, although we had to go to the Grizzly & Wolf Discovery Center in West Yellowstone to see those two. If you haven't been, take any opportunity you have to get there. It's a place like no other.

Also, the hike up Mt. Washburn was, hands down, the best hike ever. EVER. If you go to Yellowstone, you have to do it.

This is a picture from my cruise to Alaska earlier this year. This shot was from the back of a horse, which is a lot harder than you might think. It's a lot harder than I thought it would be before I tried it. =) Emerald Lake is a gorgeous green lake in the Yukon.
