Kama Point

This peninsula reaches out into Nipigon Bay, creating two smaller bays...Mazookama bay to the north, and Kama bay to the south. In the spring, it is a stop over for many migrating birds. The highway, seen behind, is the vantage point for many tourists, out into Nipigon bay, over to Red Rock, Ontario.
The residents, who are lucky enough to share this strip of land, have the option of finding a lee shore, to get out of the wind. If the wind is blowing from the north, we go to the south side of the property, to swim in the shallow bay. If the South wind is blowing, we spend many lazy hours, floating about on the north side. A piece of heaven for a lucky few.
