Stay Away from Lonely Places (2005) was a large, white neon sign that was mounted onto The Chapel & Sunday School in Birmingham’s Eastside regeneration district. In essence a warning, it also conveys a poignant melancholy, a lingering presence particularly visible during the evenings and night time, when the surrounding factories and offices are closed for business.
