Curled Scan

Curled Scan by Mareen Fischinger.
Step two. I added some 6500K light in the room and set the machine sideways before I scanned.
The scanner desaturates automatically (but of course I photoshop it anyway). The horizontal lines are a bit annoying but maybe when they are seen as part of the image, I can accept them. The focus is shorter than I wish. Really, this is just a all-in-one Canon MP600.

Being scanned is a little bit exhausting.

It's very beautiful how the reds fall away from the image after the few hints we see in the thumb/cheek/nose.

I'm excited about this idea and can't wait to see what else you come up with. What sort of scanner are you using?

I am also a fan of using a scanner. Since you can get such high resolution the prints made from scanned pix can be monstrous. This is one from my photostrream I made with an Epson 3200 scanner by simply laying the bouguet on the scanner glass.

haha, nice. don't you hurt your eyes doing that? I've tried to keep them open but I always end up closing them before the lamp passes through.
