Bridger Bowl lifts fate is sealed

Bridger Bowl lifts fate is sealed

WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 27, 2010

Bridger Bowl, located 16 miles north of Bozeman, Montana, will be installing a new Doppelmayr CTECH Triple Chair Lift this summer that will replace the current Bridger and Deer Park Riblet Lifts originally installed in 1964 and 1971, respectively. The new lift will have the maximum recommended capacity of 1,500 skiers per hour providing nearly the same uphill vertical transport feet compared to the current Bridger and Deer Park double chair lifts combined.

One of the primary benefits of this new lift will be the overall improved skiing and snowboarding experience on the central terrain pod of the mountain. The old Deer Park road and lift unloading area will be reclaimed and contoured to that slopes’ original natural state to provide uninterrupted runs from top to bottom with no road cuts from Avalanche Gulch to Bronco.
