so i went back to the lab to get some new rolls of agfaphoto ct precisa processed. the first try turned out green instead of the expected blue that the old agfa ct precisa is known for. even the guy in the lab was suprised. when i dropped off two of the new rolls yesterday he handed me three rolls of already processed film. he had done some investigation and saved the rolls so that i could have a look at them.
middle roll: AgfaPhoto CT precisa slide film(the same branded packaging). but NOT the same when it comes to cross processing. the guy in the lab (who knows what he is talking about) told me this one came out blue like the old agfa ct precisa.
right roll: the old agfa ct presia
there seems to be a little difference in the text that is printed on the packaging (hover over the picture). no idea why, but maybe the middle one is some old agfa ct precisa stuff in the new "packaging" and the left one is a completely new emulsion?
so i guess time to pay attention the next time you buy the "new" rolls on ebay.
here are some discussions about the topic
or forget about all this because it is tooooo geeky anyway ;-)
