Designed by Michaelangelo, the Piazza del Campidoglio, on the Capitoline Hill, is among the most beautiful places in Rome... The magnificent Cordonata, a monumental wide ramped stair, is the best way to walk up to the square from the west. But the fact that the piazza faces west also means that there are amazing sunset views of the city... a must for any visitor! ;-)
