Swiss windowboxes

Swiss windowboxes

Baden, Switzerland - 28th October, 2011

When I was a kid I thought every house in Switzerland had windowboxes. It must be said I also thought Heidi was a real person and that economists actually knew about economics. (shows how young and out of touch with reality I was) :)

Anyway, this really quite lovely collection of windowboxes appeared to me as I turned a corner in the town (city?) of Baden in North-eastern Switzerland.

a doorway in St. Gallen

a doorway in St. Gallen

St. Gallen, Switzerland - 28th October, 2011

The side of a very old house where grapes were growing. St. Gallen is known for its beautiful cathedral but the streets teem with little finds like this.

Schaffhausen walls and windows

Schaffhausen walls and windows

Schaffhausen, Switzerland - 29th October, 2011

Another Swiss town and what a town! Everywhere you look there's something just a little different to other towns. We spent quite a few hours wandering.

I had a thing for windows that day.
