The other day I went to Petrie Island Park east of Ottawa alongside the Ottawa River. It's a fascinating park with turtles, heron, frogs, and muskrat! I saw a beaver lodge across a pond as well.
When you think about how much of the land is now occupied with farming, industry, commerce, and housing, it's easy to see how conversation space is so important.
Plus animals are cool. This is the first muskrat I've seen in person in over twenty years since we don't have them where I'm from.
