I'm headed home to Iowa soon, and looking forward to seeing friends and family (I'll still be around and posting images). What I'm not looking forward to is the heat. Apparently the heat index for this next week will be around 100 degrees or just over. If you know me at all, you know that I absolutely deplore heat like that and feel disgruntled at anything over about 75 degrees (ideally, I'd live with 65 all year long). Summer, in fact, is my least favorite season, even though our Pacific Northwest summers tend to be fairly mild. And admittedly, I do love the long hours of daylight in the summer. Just not the heat. I am a jeans/hoodie/boots/coat kind of girl, not a tank-top/shorts/flip-flops kind of girl.
I miss the rain and clouds and coolness already!
