This is the Hasselblad version of a previous image I've posted, and I have to admit that for once I prefer the digital image. I think the compression that the digital image gives helps to emphasize this avenue of trees, and the colors and light were very difficult to balance in the film version. Still, after a long time spend editing and hemming and hawing, I've decided to post this image as well.
These, by the way, are the Dark Hedges, a row of 300-year-old beech trees found in Northern Ireland. Sometimes in my dreams I am still there, feeling the wind and rain and light.
