I went back to the cherry trees this morning, which marks my third and last time this season. I was so glad I made it there again, though, because the scene had completely changed... to blossoms, blossoms everywhere. A light drizzle and a steady breeze combined to strip the trees of their flowers and blanket the ground in pale pinkness. Before I knew it, I had spent two hours at Waterfront Park. I always lose track of time when I'm wandering through dreamscapes like this.
This shot is via my digital Nikon. I also finished a roll of pinhole today, and shot some Velvia with Pentax, so we'll see what they turn up. This particular shot is different because my Nikon mis-metered on something dark and overexposed the scene. I decided that I rather liked the blown-out effect.

Ran across your photo today and I saw right away why you (and everyone else) really, really like this photograph. Here is one of mine when the magic just happened in front of my lens www.flickr.com/photos/rbdal49/5137985900/in/set-721576252... Rick

Every year I tell myself " I am going to get spring blossom shots this year", and every year I miss them. It seems like there is about a 48 hour window for these shots, and then it is gone.
Really well done photo, and the perfect example of a "happy accident" :)
