I had the privilege of visiting Bandon Beach for the very first time a few weeks back. It's a shame that Bandon is so far south, as I know I could spend entire weeks of time, especially at sunset or sunrise, wandering this beach. This beach is infinitely interesting. I probably shot a few dozen pictures at Bandon and they're all quite different. This one, though, is my favorite, and in addition it's currently my personal favorite of all the pinhole pictures I've taken so far.
There is something about standing on a beach at sunset and watching the light slip over the horizon and out of sight. I always find myself thinking, this is the edge of the Earth; this is the edge of the night. And so around the world turns away from the sun, and so our lives dive into night. It's a romantic thought, I know... but I should be allowed at least a few of those. ;)
