This is my own take on Neskowin's "ghost forest". I certainly have to agree that the petrified stumps were one of the best parts of this stretch of beach along the Oregon Coast. I also loved the view from the top of Proposal Rock - how each wave would strike the rock and then rebound oceanward to crash headlong (and loudly) into the next oncoming wave.
Almost equally as interesting were the dense patches of tiny white shell fragements that had washed up on the beach, as pictured above. So there you go - Neskowin Beach already has at least three things going for it... we'll definitely have to make a point to visit this one again.
