Great capture! Lake Michigan was pretty rough that day! Last year we got to a dozen Michigan lighthouses, but didn't get any farther south on Lake Michigan than Point Betsie, so I have this to look forward to yet.

Isn't that amazing? When we lived up there we liked to go down to the harbor and watch the waves and swells and breakers whenever the strong winds blew. This shot really captures the power of those breakers. A million thanks for adding it to our Lovely Ludington, Michigan Group

The Badger would have ceased operations for the year... note the ice on the structure. I believe that the Badger starts sailing around Memorial Day and ceases around Labor
Day... not much chance for ice in Ludington in early September.
