Chum chum

Chum chum by Mandar Marathe.
I never thought I would get chum chum in Australia. But here it is! The Chinese shop across the road has an Indian section and they stock tins of Indian sweets.

I remember the day in 1985 when my uncle took my cousin and me to a restaurant called Anand Bhandar in Nagpur, India and he ordered chum chum for us. It has been one of my favourites ever since. For me, Anand Bhandar will always be the home of chum chum.

Unfortunately this Australian chum chum turned out to be a bit rubbery and not nearly in the same league :-(
