Lately I've been thinking about how a
bicycle's fitment will tell you quite a lot
about its rider's physiology.

on the fixed: my seat is high and my bars
(bull horn) low... but on my touring, it's
about the same and with drop bars. WHAT DOES
IT ALL MEAN?!?!

what DOES it mean?
what does this say about my physiology?

well your seat is pushed forward so it tells
me you have shorter arms than legs =p

psychology behind your bike:
Mostly subtle, cool, and laid back.. but you
have a timid extravagancy about your ways...
You should'a got a pink Deep V for your
front wheel though :(

I'm thinking the saddle is too low. It's been
my observation that lots of folks have it too
low.
I second the pinky deep-v in the front, and
then a black in in the back, make it like the
mullet of the bike world, but reversed:
business in the back, party in the front!

my saddle height is just fine, thanks. any
higher and i have trouble mounting and
dismounting, or putting a foot down at
intersections. it's quite perfect.

I always have to get off the seat to put a
foot down. My knees need to fully extend!

i remember reading that your knees need to
ALMOST fully extend... so that's where my
saddle height's at. i can't balance on my
toes when i'm on the seat though. which is
why i stop next to curbs. yes. curbs.

you are correct my dear.. however you need to
learn how to trackstand! and when you get bad
ass, cycle backwards in circles!

The frame in general is small, but that's
pretty obvious. Your saddle is really far
forward on the rails, which increases your
effective seat tube angle, and makes a long
top tube (which is quite common on smaller
frames) shorter. That difference in geometry
from the way most people's bikes are set up
makes it faster than it would be with other
bars. You'd probably want to move the seat
rearward if you put anything other than drops
on it. Lastly, with the way it's set up, if
it fits you, you don't want to be using
bullhorns unless with a drastically shorter
stem. Looks like you've just got the one
brake lever on it, though, so I am thinking
you use the tops of the bars most often.

Also, it looks good without deep V's. There's
no way a person of your size needs rims any
stronger than what you've got, nor do you
need to follow the crowd.

i like my rims. :)
i use both the tops and the drops. the drops
are flared so they're really comfortable to
ride low... but i like having the option to
change my posture.
