broken bats are all over sports talk these days

I sort of hope they don't try to fix the problem or ban maple, because I love trying to shoot them.

DB, are you aware that there's some movement to outlaw metal bats because the ball travels so much faster and further? The distance isn't the problem as much as not having the reaction time to catch or get out of the way. There are cases of high school and little league players being seriously injured and/or killed. There may be cases on the collegiate level as well.

not to continue sports talk, but the issue is with the type of wood. They are looking into not allowing bats made of maple.
