      LOL that's SO british! rainy day, British Museum, umbrellas and a touch of british humour - that's how I remember England, and you've got 1001 different types of rain!

      Lorien I have to correct you about one thing. Statistically it doesn't rain much in London. In fact much less than Paris, Milan, Barcelona and most other major European cities. I tell this to everyone one unfortunately normally they don't believe me.

      malias--the whole perspective of london as a rained city is mostly because the sun never shines much, is always gray and depressive like...thats just life in britain for us.

      About the rain, I've never lived in London, but if it is anything like Manchester, it's true, it doesn't rain that much .. but the probability of gray and rainy weather was the same in winter and in summer, making for a pretty gloomy summer (2005) ;)

      Malias, I don't belive you:) ok, maybe you're right, I spend there only 3 months, but I saw so many types of rain... once I was walking and I saw something like smoke or mist... when I came closer it occured that it's actulaay a rain, like a water sprayed in the air - I got completly soaked, of course. Nevertheless, the picture is great and very very british in my opinion.

      Thanks for your comments. I never said Britain had wonderful weather just that London rains less than the average for European cities. Lorien: Perhaps you were unlikely and that immediately before and immediately after your trip the days were warm sunny and lovely.
