thanks all!

stranger : really easy. it took me about 10 mins. i made the background black with the lasso tool. lowered the saturation by : new layer > gradient map > lowering the opacity . added lens correction for the vignette. dodged the umbrella to make the pattern stand out. teeny gaussian blur for the glow. aaand curves to lighten the face. walla!
