Travis County DA Ronnie Earle

Ronnie Earle said that one of the things that attracted him to the job of prosecutor was that, in Texas, the job description is to seek justice. The law doesn't define what justice is, so Earle came up with a definition of his own. He says justice is the outcome of healthy relationships. Healthy relationships share joy, pain, and power. On this view, legal justice is about maintaining a healthy relationship between the state and the individual, and among the different branches of the state.
