I didn’t have the opportunity to spend much time researching old theatres when I was last in the Atlanta area so I cannot say with any degree of certainty as to whether or not these theatres still exist in some form or another. I selected the following based on their proximity to the Temple Theatre:
The Harlem Theatre (circa 1940) at 531 McDaniel St SW
The Fairview (aka Memorial) Theatre (circa 1935) at 657 Memorial Dr SE
The Lincoln Theatre (circa 1935) at 407 Mitchell St SW
The Atlantic Theatre (circa 1963) at 1599 Memorial Dr SE
Please let me know what you find out and if you get any photos. Thanks

This comment is being posted long after the inquiry, but I went to the Temple occasionally as a child, although most of us preferred the Madison in East Atlanta in the 1960s. The Temple cost a dime, and had less timely movies. The Madison was a quarter. I'm in touch with a lot of people who went to the Temple theater, and if you're still interested in gathering info you can pop me an email at larryfeltonjohnson@gmail.com

Loose Nuts Cycles is now located in this space, half of the theater entrance and the projection both. We'd love to find some archived photo's because we are trying to figure out what the original floors looked liked. Thanks!

Check out the archives in the main branch of the Atlanta Public Library. I have had some luck in locating some articles and photos of some of the early cinemas in the Fulton/Dekalb area.
