Torah ark from the Tekumbagum Synagogue in Mattancherry (Cochin, or Kochi, Kerala, India).

The ark is built from multiple individual elements with elaborate carved and polychrome surfaces, predominantly red, green, and gold; four columns with shell capitals flank two tiers of double doors; triangular pediment with shell finial and draped central cartouche, inscribed in Hebrew: "Crown of the Torah".
