London - Letter from Ibn Saud, 1925
[From the National Archives in Kew, London] Extract from a letter sent from Ibn Saud to the British Agent in Jeddah dated June 16th, 1925. The letter is recieved in Jeddah on June 30th. This is during the war between Nejd and Hijaz, 1924-1925.
In the letter he informs Britain that he has ordered a halt to the attack on the disputed area of Akaba. He complains about the intrigues of Sharif Hussein and his son Abdullah, the Emir of Transjordan. He also informs that he is willing to renegotiate a frontier settlement between him, Transjordan and Iraq.
