I was asked to cover the British Universities Camogie (female equivalent to hurling) against the Scottish Universities Ladies Shinty team and then the men’s British Universities Hurling team against the Scottish Universities Mens Shinty team.

Due to frosty pitch the venue had to be changed from Dundee University Riverside ground to Dawson Park - it was a cold day - but some fantastic play.

For the ladies - the Camogie players emerged victorious and for the men - Shinty reigned supreme.
