This is the absolute favorite photo of mine - and I have posted it on flickr before - HERE.
But as a birthday present to myself I have recently printed a 40"x30" (A1) canvas of this image that now hangs on my bedroom wall, and it looks AMAZING!!! So I use that as an excuse to post this slightly differently processed version, which is the one I got printed.
Just to make it clear, this is a real photo of a real road with real trees and the original light (in fact it was raining). It was taken near Spancill Hill in County Clare in the west of Ireland ... but it reminds of a John Howe or Sam Lee painting of Middle Earth and I can't help feeling that the road might actually lead towards Hobbiton...
