The A-10 was built around the enormous 7-barrel 30mm GAU-8 'Avenger' Gatling gun. The gun barrel -visible under the nose of the jet- is mounted slightly off-centreline. In addition to the gun the A-10 can carry a large number of weapons. On my model from left to right in the picture you can see and ALQ-131 jamming pod, two AGM-65 Maverick missiles, a total of six Rockeye cluster bombs (not really visible in this picture), two more Mavericks and two Sidewinder air-to-air missiles for self-defense.
