Indiana: Effexor Death at 6 Weeks |
Christian Delahunty was never warned of
the risks of Effexor for pregnancy and
breastfeeding. After developing
gestational diabetes, and being put on
bed rest, she gave birth to Indiana
prematurely on July 26 2008. Nobody told
Christian that Effexor could cause
sedation and has a very high milk /
plasma ratio. Indiana had problems
breathing and staying awake and eating,
and was very jaundiced througout her
life. She died when she was only six
weeks old because of the adverse effects
of Effexor. Despite FDA warnings for
pregnant women Christian's doctor had
her on 300 mg of Effexor XR throughout
pregnancy and nursing.
