Homemade ice cream in a sugar cone is such a treat on a hot summer afternoon. This is another version of my partner's Homemade Cherry Vanilla Ice Cream. In this version, he added some of his amazing delicious cherry syrup (from his homemade candied cherries) directly to the ice cream base itself for an extra hit of pure cherry flavour. Then he folded the candied cherries into the finished ice cream. I thought the first version was to-die-for, but my goodness, this one is over-the-top delicious. It’s my current favourite (although it’s hard to choose). We've been enjoying a long run of seemingly endless warm summer days and, for me, enjoying a mid-afternoon ice cream cone in my balcony garden is the essence of summertime!
