Darwin Lightning Storm

Darwin Lightning Storm

Shot with my iPhone from the balcony of a hotel during a typical afternoon storm setting in for the afternoon. I edited this on the iPad with a few apps and thought I'd gauge what people think as an overall image quality. Would love to have a new 4S but well, can't always have everything although as usual, the best camera happened to be the one in my pocket.

Two thirds perfect

Two thirds perfect

Shot last week and edited on my iPad again. As always general comment is welcome particularly with regards to the editing as I can't see this on a normal monitor

Penguin Rock

Penguin Rock

This comp i tried to catch the sun between the clouds that was just hanging above the horizon. Not me best work but i have been out of action for a little while, one baby and one 3 yr old tend to have that impact on my outings Haha!

I am just happy that we had some sun and cloud this morning as its been a clear sky's winter. I thought this rock piece actually looked like a penguin so hence the name im giving it.

Single Shot, No HDR
No Blending

Im still searching for what im looking for!

Im still searching for what im looking for!

Miami Headland, Gold Coast Australia

I finally had a chance to get out this morning and see another sunrise after an exodus of about a month and a half of not shooting. I feel like ive lost my mojo a little with photography but have inspired myself with this find.

I used a Darrel Benson 3-Stop reverse and .9 Lee GND for this one with my focus point set to below the horizon. I was determined to see if i could catch the comp without any blending or other techniques. The tilted horizon i thought adds more drama to this shot so i left it the way it came out of camera.

The Lone Pandanus

The Lone Pandanus

Although this shot is quite simple i had a rather difficult challenge trying to get a position that showed this tree from the right angle.
