This was taken a couple of months ago during a Newcastle Sundance group meet to Stockton Beach NSW.
The MV Sygna was a 53,000 tonne Norwegian bulk carrier and now shipwreck on Stockton Beach in the Port Stephens LGA in New South Wales, Australia. The ship ran aground during a major storm on 26 May 1974 and the wreck has become an icon and landmark for the local area.
The weather forecast didn't sound too promising - rain!
We were very fortunate that it didn't arrive until just after sunrise.
The sunrise itself was quite a colourful event (as seen here).
I originally posted a similar image to this but had the shipwreck too central in the image - here's a rework to the favoured rule of thirds!
Hope you all have a great day, and enjoy the image.
