I took my father-in-law to visit the Gettysburg Civil War battlefield today for his first visit to the park. I didn't take many photographs since I was hosting the tour but I was able to grab a couple of shots that I like. The statue above is for the units that fought for North Carolina and was created by Gutzon Borglum. He was also responsible for Mount Rushmore and many other famous statues. He studied with Rodin (one of my favorite sculptors) and you can see the influences in this monument.

Here I am hitchhiking in the bowels of a ship heading to Santraginus V. I have my towel so I don't need to panic. A towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have. <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Towel_Day">Happy Towel Day everyone</a>.
