New Sun Workstation & Very Old Phone

How old is this phone?
New Sun Workstation & Very Old Phone by tuxmentat.
Technology shock! Here is a brand spanking new x86 box from Sun. It is awesome - but Java Desktop System that came with it blows compared to my favorite Kubuntu.

Next to it an ancient MSU phone.

If you think JDS sucks, help us make it better by joining the desktop community over at opensolaris.org!! (The OpenSolaris version is already better than the Solaris 10 version, and way better than the last Linux version we released).

See, this is how it is:

I am a Debian guy at heart, currently a Kubuntu user. RPM package management gives me a rash (ok, yum is ok, but it's an apt ripoff)...

Any linux distro without apt like system blows chunks in my book. Period. RPM might be awesome but I don't like it. It is just a personal preference - sorry.

I hate Gnome with a passion. I have always loved KDE, and my productivity suffers on Gnome (partly because I don't have that much experience with it, and partly because KDE allows me to do things that are impossible in Gnome). Another personal preference.

JDS is a rpm based distro running Gnome and no native KDE support. I guess I could use SUSE packages, but meh... JDS is definitely not a setup that I would pick.

But I don't feel like reinstalling the OS. So far it's working. I have my Eclipse, and my Firefox on it - so I'm relatively happy with it as my devel machine for the time being :P

The NEWEST that phone could possibly be is 1984. It's probably from the 1970s. You can look for the date code on the bottom of the phone...

If you turn it ,you can see the date of it stamped on the metal base.
That type of phone was in use since 1977 to 1980 around (I mean with that face plate's style).
