Rosslyn Chapel is 7 miles from Edinburgh, Scotland

"Here we can see a group of musicians situated just above the capital of this pillar. The 'cubes' on the ribs rising from the the pillar are the subject of a 'musical' investigation.
Musicians such as these, with wings, are obviously angels and as messengers of God are heralding his Word. This symbolism is most obvious when the angel has a trumpet.

One can just make out the Green Men between each angel."

This piece of information was lifted from The Rosslyn Templars site where there is a link giving further fascinating information about the 'Musical Cubes':

I followed all your links in the Rosslyn set. It was like a mini treasure hunt. I was sad to find this was the last one. Please add more "codes" :-)

Very interesting this Chapel. Full of history. I followed your links as well and I was glad to find good information about this place. It just took me a while to figure out that Rosslyn Chapel is 7 miles from Edinburgh, Scotland.

Could you add this information to the description, please?

Thank you for posting on WorldWalkers

On one of these pillars, there must be a musician playing a portative organ - you don't happen to have a picture of this, for our group portat-org?

@ Wilfried Praet Sorry - this is it. I didn't know at the time that I would never be able to take phtos in there again. Seems such a pity they stopped photography - I can understand in the case of paintings and fabrics ... but stone and glass?

Do you mean photographing is forbidden now??? Crazy.

      Wilfried Praet Yes, it is.
