Changing the language with which you talk about things is often more powerful at changing mindset than you’d expect. The point this chart makes isn’t new, but it’s put particularly eloquently in a lovely rant / article at journalism.nyu.edu/pubzone/weblogs/pressthink/2006/06/27/...: “The people formerly known as the audience are simply the public made realer, less fictional, more able, less predictable. You should welcome that, media people. But whether you do or not we want you to know we’re here”
