we've outsourced brain functions to silicon

we've outsourced brain functions to silicon by lynetter.
No I haven’t dropped off the face of the earth, just been really busy. During the week with work work; during the weekend sorting out the back garden (roses & pruning, need I say more). I hope to resume more regular programming soon :-)

This is a bit cyborg-ish but I like it ‘cos I’d never thought about it in such blunt terms before. It’s true and becoming even more so as bits of our lives get stored online. Already, I hardly bother with an address book … I know I can get most people’s details via Facebook, or stored in an email footer somewhere, or just ping them… When I was a kid I knew all my friends phone numbers off by heart, now I barely remember my own.

The quote comes from a recent Wired article by Clive Thompson
