142 366 - #6 Gorgeous: Bridge of Aspiration, Wilkinson Eyre Architects

I popped into town this morning to snap another of my top 10 London buildings...not strictly a building I know, but I adore bridges, and I make the rules up[my game and all that]. The sun was in a bad position so I've merged to shots [converted from RAW].

This bridge links the Royal Ballet School with the Royal Opera House and while snapping it I spotted a gorgeous ballet bloke heading into the building!

I like this - does it link one from one level and one from another, or is it a flat bridge? Interesting. It reminds me of the hose from the back of a tumble dryer, only square and therefore more interesting.

Wow - what a great bridge - what an amazing structure. And how fascinating that the Royal Ballet School and the Royal Opera House have their own little passageway.

I think I'm just beginning to understand the point of shooting in RAW - it has worked really well here, the sky looks stunning.

I LOVE this bridge. I remember catching a glimpse of it when we were last in London, but we were running for a train or something so I couldn't see it properly. I thought it might have been Thomas Hetherwick. Great shot of it.
