Found a super new place to shoot with the perfect aspect for beautiful sunsets, unfortunately the sun was a little low by the time we'd got there. Still, V entertained me with a few free style poses...

26/366 ~ CZ

26/366 ~ CZ

Today Cyrus has his grommets check up. Both had fallen out by Christmas (one back in October) and to be honest I'd noticed a change in his hearing, attention and snot production.

And surely enough his ears are full of 'glue'. One is 100% and the other about 60% and we're having grommets fitted again. I pushed for immediate surgery, the consultant was suggesting we wait 3 months, re-assess and then see but I can't expect my boy to wait 4-5 months when he's pretty much 'deaf' now. Imagine hearing your world from underneath the water and that's what it's like. No wonder he shouts ;-) But with school only 8 months away and with the significant developmental delay that he experienced while we diagnosed and worked through the first set I can't let it happen again. And yet, at the same time I feel bad for putting him through another gassing.

Love you CZ
x

25/366 ~ words

25/366 ~ words

I gave Violet her first dictionary for Christmas. She opened it at about 40% Christmas Present Opening Speed (CPOS) because she knew it was a book and a big one therefore probably not something aimed at me reading to her.

It's remained on her bedroom floor/side table since Christmas, I'm hoping that curiosity will get the better of her and she'll delve into it deliciously digesting all the new words and meanings. I think, although she's not confirmed, that she's looked at all the words beginning with V. Well, you would wouldn't you!

Images, like words mean so much. The ability to communicate and express ourselves in such details is part of what makes us such successful animals. That and taming fire, farming, walking upright and sliced bread. So when these words were given to me today inside a beautiful card I was so touched that I had a little cry. I gave up saving the world a few years ago, someone else will have to do that on a civil service salary, so to know that I have touched peoples lives makes me feel good, really good.

24/366 ~ Buzy Bee

Bee is such a beautiful cat but she won't sit still. I'm not used to not getting my subjects to do as I ask/bribe/beg.

Watching the rain, manual focus, clearly miles off what I was aiming for but then she wouldn't sit still. Will stick ham to the window tomorrow.
