I really like the concept of this photographic exhibition. Not so much the Darwinian Theory but photographing book covers with contextual backgrounds. Crikey, did I just say that. I sound like an art critic!

A Complete History of Darwinian Theory Through the Art of Book Covers

    Thursday 12th February - Saturday 21st March : 10am-7pm : Free

A photographic exhibition charting the development of Darwinian thinking since 1859, featuring photographs of book covers used to illustrate all of the significant texts.

A celebration of the work of artists and illustrators in illuminating books, and an analysis of the use of art in backing up the major theoretical movements in evolutionary thinking. This exhibition is timed to coincide with the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of Origin of Species in 1859.
