    Last night we dyed Easter eggs using this recipe. Love how pretty they turned out!

      These look great! I meant to try these again this year with the alum, but didn't have time. Did you use alum or vinegar/ cream of tartar?

      i used alum and vinegar. it didn't occur to me to just use alum, but it seemed to work out well anyhow. i did find that the darker color was kind of a film on top of the dyed eggs, and inadvertently wiped it off before i realized i could let them dry that way. oh well. next year right? :)
