old mr. sage and his dark nose

i can really tell in this picture how old he's become. his face-fur has thinned, his body (which you can't see) is so bony, and he's reacting worse than ever to seasonal allergens. look at his darkened nose -- as much as i hope it's not a sign of disease -- i suspect it and his weight loss are not positive signs. we see the vet friday.
