day one hundred and twenty six
I'm not a ballerina. My mother is a ballerina, but I never had her talent, and I never will. Still, I love to dance, even though I heard that same "I don't get it, her mother is so talented, how can she be like this?" song all my life. It's fine, really. I have a ton of fun anyway. :)
This is about feeling like you're tied to a place. Like you can't escape and dance like you should.

Because you post and I think "oh well, she can't get any better than this", but then you post AGAIN AND I'm like "oh well, turns out she CAN". So in a way, that means you're getting absurdly better with each photo and I love seeing your progress. So yeah.

PS - I can only imagine how hard it much have been for you to tie those things and then take the shot and then... you know, do anything at all with your legs tied. It looks visually awesome, though, so s'all good.

This is one of the many shoots you do that just makes me smile widely! First because i adore you and your photos.I love how you pick up the concepts and work them in such a glorious way and you can always keep the sweet,feminine side in almost everything you do.
Then this one makes me smile cause ever since i can remember i wanted to be a ballerina and i never got to it,my parents prefered me a little swimming girl,so i never got to the pretty pink clothes.I do have a pair of ballet flats that i love so much because it's the only thing that makes me feel close to a dream i never pulled out.
Remember that while your mother is talented in some things,you are talented in a awful lot of other ones,so don't listen to the same old people song,cause the cd has been stuck on the same for pretty much everyone for many years now.

I've stopped listening to those voices a long time ago. I got it in my mind that my mother and I are separate entities, and that like she is an incredibly talented dancer (she is, TRUST ME.), I'm talented at other things. And the good part is, she always supported me and what I wanted to be. That's the most important thing. :)

WHAT amazes me the MOST is that really an image like this was in my mind, I was even searching for the same words you have in tags (ballerina,STUCK, and shoes) you are awesome. I used to do ballet when I was young for 2 years, and was so sad because I didn't perform in a our big show because my family thought I had appendix problem.. and I never forgave mum for that until lately.. haha
The past few days I was feeling sudden cravings for ballet movements, even at college. It's so weird, and I really miss it.. but I'm really a clumsy heavy teenager now! haha

When I was a little girl I never wanted to be a ballerina... but today I wish I was..
