The "New Girl" Double Scallop Skirt

    Fabric | Some micro dot, crappy, cotton-poly something or other and some sheer-ish poly-cotton mix crappy fabric for the under layer.
    Patterns | Vivat Veritas Scallop Waist skirt. I added the under layer and cut a facing from the self fabric to make the scalloped hem.
    Year | Current.
    Notions | Thread, a zip (from that massive granny collection I mentioned before) and interfacing for the waist.
    Time to complete | About two hours. It wasn't exactly hard, but I used this stinky fabric as a test run for the idea and realized it was working out too late to give up on it for better fabric. I added that under layer to give the skirt some body.
    First worn | At home.
    Wear again? | Yes, definitely. It will be a cute little kicky, summer thing.
    Total price | Don't know. Cheap. I think both fabrics might have been in the $1.95 a yard area over at Fabric.com The blouse I'm wearing is from Old Navy, it was on sale for something like $5.
