Earlier this year I was visiting friends in Colombia. We went to "Alto de Cazuca", an extremerly poor neighborhood in Bogota. We drove past this little girl and had to stop to get a shot - so cute!

Michael Barrett, a 29 year old Australian will embark on a journey of a lifetime, a solo attempt to trek the entire length of the mighty Mississippi River, in the process raising awareness and money for struggling communites in Colombia. Covering up to 4,000 kms for 6 months, passing through 10 States and enduring temperatures ranging from -10c up to 30c.
